The journey so far...
I'm a mature-self-realised Autistic woman and highly sensitive intuitive channel who made the realisation in her early twenties that she was different to her peers, but at the time didn't understand how.
What I was able to work out, all those years ago (I'm in my fifties now) was that natural therapies and tools such as meditation, yoga, bush walks and creative expression made a huge difference in my life and supported me to be able to function in the allistic world.
What these passions eventually lead me into was a career in psychology and then in the complimentary therapies as a kinesiologist, flower essence practitioner and intuitive channel.
But I'm getting ahead of myself, because the complimentary therapy part came after my children came into the world. It was my motherhood transition that really challenged me and shone a bright light on my sensory sensitivities and emotional support needs.
I didn't join the dots on my Autism then, I just simplified life as much as possible, began meditating daily, and continued to read plenty of very helpful new age self help books.
I had a supportive husband who recognised my need for breaks and time alone as best he could, and we bumbled along for a few years like that. Him working, me staying at home and seeing just a couple of clients a week.
When the kids were nine and seven we took a big decision and quit the corporate world and the big mortgage and moved to a lovely seaside town in Western Australia. This gave us a lower stress lifestyle and the kids got to have a more nature-based childhood with both parents home a lot.
It was in this stage of life that my spirituality developed, I started a women's meditation group and I began taking better ownership of my channelling abilities and using them.
In late 2022 we made the move back to Perth, as both of our kids were at uni there and it was then that I finally experienced the penny-drop moment. I am Autistic. Not simply sensitive, quirky, unable to handle large crowds and happiest on my own in the bush. I have a brain that works differently and there's a word for it.
